Jesus did this for us so that we could see His life and experience and desire this for ourselves. Jesus has promised to do this for us and in us.

Anyone who denies that Jesus came in the flesh of mankind is of antichrist. I John 4:2-3; II John 7

See also Romans 9:6-8; Galatians 3:7, 26-29.

Jewel – "As a jewel of gold in a swines snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion." Proverbs 11:22

Jewelry - Devices, objects, or concepts that one can wear to enhance their beauty. Some jewelry God appears to approve of and some jewelry God does not want us to wear. Our relationship with Jesus will dictate what we will do with jewelry. CO

1. In heaven Lucifer was covered with jewels and surrounded with jewels and it apparently was a factor in Lucifer getting fixated on his beauty instead of his relationship with God - Ezekiel 28:12-17

2. Literal jewelry appears to be mostly connected with vanity and appears to interfere with the relationship with God, and the Bible describes them as gods - Genesis 31:19,30-35; 35:1-4; Exodus 32:1-4; 33:1-6. When the people took off their gods then God could commune with them.

3. Jewelry and makeup appear to be a revealer of who is caring for you - either you are or you are allowing God to care for you - II Kings 9:22,30; Jeremiah 4:30; Hosea 2:13; Isaiah 3:16-24; Revelation 17:4-5

4. God has His plan for jewelry - literal jewelry to be used for the sanctuary - Exodus 3:19-22; 12:35-36; 35:20-29. God does not want people to externally covered with jewels but wants them to be internally filled with jewels so that people will be attracted to character - I Peter 3:1-4; I Timothy 2:9-10; Isaiah 53:2-3

5. Ezekiel 16:1-14 is God's most detailed outline of how He wants to handle the jewelry issue - He wants to cover us with His comeliness and His attributes - then we will be able to attract those people willing to hear His message of redemption.

Garments - His righteousness - Zechariah 3:4; Isaiah 61:10; Matthew 22:11-12; Revelation 3:18; 19:8

    4. Wisdom. Proverbs 1:7
    5. Instruction. Proverbs 1:7
    6. Grace. Proverbs 1:9
    7. Modest Apparel. I Timothy 2:9
    8. Shamefacedness. I Timothy 2:9
    9. Sobriety. I Timothy 2:9
    10. Good Works. I Timothy 2:10
    11. Godliness. I Timothy 2:10
    12. Mercy. Proverbs 3:3
    13. Truth. Proverbs 3:3
    14. Meek and Quiet Spirit. I Peter 3:3-4
    15. Holiness to the Lord. Exodus 39:30 See Satan’s contrasting sign in Revelation 17:5
    16. Giving and receiving reproof. Proverbs 25:12
  2. Satan’s approach to jewelry appears to be that of visual and external in nature to attract the eye rather than the heart and mind.
    1. Listing of jewelry and apparel of the daughters of Zion when they used jewelry to make up their bravery, and used jewelry and clothing to manifest their pride and arrogance. Isaiah 3:16-24
    2. Jezebel put on her eye makeup and styled her hair to influence Jehu when he came for judgment. II Kings 9:30
    3. Jewelry and makeup are an attempt to make oneself fair and attractive. Jeremiah 4:30
    4. When Israel went after her lovers she decked herself with jewels and special clothing and incense. Hosea 2:13
    5. In the story of the "strange woman" of Proverbs 7 she kills with her flattering lips, her fair speech, but she attracts the "void of understanding" with the dress of the harlot, and her false sanctuary system (Proverbs 7:16-17). Proverbs 7. See also Revelation 17:1-5
    6. The strange woman (the woman without discretion) is like a jewel of gold in a swine’s snout. Proverbs 11:22

8. Jewelry use appears to be a statement of which sanctuary system you belong to. Christ’s sanctuary system indicates that you have spiritual jewelry on and Satan’s sanctuary system indicates that you have external jewelry on. See Revelation 17:4-6 "At that time the gold will be separated from the dross. . . . Many a star that we have admired for its brilliance will then go out in darkness. Those who have assumed the ornaments of the sanctuary, but are not clothed with Christ's righteousness, will then appear in the shame of their own nakedness." Maranatha 188,192

Joining hands with the Papacy – "When our nation (the USA) shall so abjure the principles of it’s government as to enact a Sunday law, Protestantism will in this act join hands with the papacy; it will be nothing else than giving life to the tyranny which has long been eagerly watching it’s opportunity to spring again into active despotism." 5T 712

Joy – His – "God could have reached His object in saving sinners without our aid; but in order for us to develop a character like Christ’s we must share in His work. In order to enter into His joy, - the joy of seeing souls redeemed by His sacrifice, - we must participate in His labors for their redemption." DA 142

Judah – house of – "…for the Lord of hosts hath visited His flock the house of Judah…" Zechariah 10:3

Judaism - "So far as it was of divine institution, the entire system of Judaism was a compact prophecy of the gospel." DA 211. See Matthew 15:1-20.

Judgment- Investigative – A specific period of time granted by God to allow people to be warned and to have time to understand and accept the gospel. This time period is for each person to examine their hearts and accept that they are sinners, and that Jesus has come to save you from yourself. If no change has taken place during this period of time then that person will be weighed in the balances and found wanting. CO

Examples of the Investigative Judgment are as follows:

Judgment – execution of – Then the wicked saw what they had lost; and fire was breathed from God upon them and consumed them. This was the execution of the judgment. The wicked then received according as the saints, in unison with Jesus, had meted out to them during the one thousand years." EW 54

Judgments – "The minds of the people, blinded and debased by slavery and heathenism, were not prepared to appreciate fully the far-reaching principles of God’s ten precepts. That the obligations of the Decalogue might be more fully understood and enforced, additional precepts were given, illustrating and applying the principles of the Ten Commandments. These laws were called judgments, both because they were framed in infinite wisdom and equity and because the magistrates were to give judgment according to them. Unlike the Ten Commandments, they were delivered privately to Moses, who was to communicate them to the people." PP 310

Justice - "Justice is the foundation of His throne, and the fruit of His love. It had been Satan's purpose to divorce mercy from truth and justice. He sought to prove that the righteousness of God's law is an enemy to peace. But Christ shows that in God's plan they are indissolubly joined together; the one cannot exist without the other. "Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other." Psalms 85:10

By His life and His death, Christ proved that God's justice did not destroy His mercy, but that sin could be forgiven, and that the law is righteous, and can be perfectly obeyed. Satan's charges were refuted. God had given man unmistakable evidence of His love.

Another deception was now to be brought forward. Satan declared that mercy destroyed justice, that the death of Christ abrogated the Father's law. Had it been possible for the law to be changed or abrogated, then Christ need not have died. But to abrogate the law would be to immortalize transgression, and place the world under Satan's control. It was because the law was changeless, because man could be saved only through obedience to its precepts, that Jesus was lifted up on the cross. Yet the very means by which Christ established the law Satan represented as destroying it. Here will come the last conflict of the great controversy between Christ and Satan." DA 762-763

Justice of God- "What is the justice of God? It is the holiness of God in relation to sin." 7BC 951

Justification – "When God pardons the sinner, remits the punishment he deserves, and treats him as though he had not sinned, through the merits of Christ’s righteousness. The sinner can be justified only through faith in the atonement made through God’s dear Son, who became a sacrifice for the sins of the guilty world. No one can be justified by any works of his own. He can be delivered from the guilt of sin, from the condemnation of the law, from the penalty of transgression, only by virtue of the suffering, death, and resurrection of Christ. Faith is the only condition upon which justification can be obtained, and faith includes not only belief but trust." I SM 389

Justification- "Justification means that the conscience, purged from dead works is placed where it can receive the blessing of sanctification." 7BC 908

Justification- "Pardon and justification are one and the same thing." 6BC 1070

Justification by Faith- "What is justification by faith? It is the work of God in laying the glory of man in the dust, and doing for man that which it is not in his power to do for himself." Supplement to TM 103
